Local Listings Optimization

Your business name, address, phone, hours and services — kept accurate and consistent everywhere customers, search engines and AI assistants look. A monthly service from Sleek Web Designs in Brooklyn, with a progress report in your account every month.

The problem we fix

Why your listings matter

Your website is only part of how your business shows up online. Search engines, map apps and AI assistants also read business directories, review sites, maps and data providers — and they compare what they find.

When one listing shows an old address, another has a wrong phone number and a third is missing half of what you do, the picture gets muddy. Conflicting details make it harder for any system to confirm which version of your business is real, and harder for a customer to reach you on the first try. Consistent listings give search and AI systems a clear, verifiable identity to work from.

This is the evolution of Local SEO, not a replacement for it. The same groundwork that supports your map results — accurate data, clean citations, an active Google Business Profile — is also what conversational search tools draw on when someone asks for “an HVAC contractor near me with good reviews” or “a driving school near Flatbush.”

The service

What's included

Three parts, every month: get the data right, get it everywhere it needs to be, and keep it that way.

01

Audit & cleanup

We start with a full review of where your business appears — maps, search platforms, business and industry directories, review sites and data providers. We flag wrong phone numbers, old addresses, duplicate profiles, incorrect hours and categories, and missing services. Then we fix or claim what we can and document anything that needs your login.

02

Distribution & sync

Once your core business data is correct, we push it out to the platforms that matter for your market and industry and keep them in sync from one source of truth. Change your hours, move offices or add a service, and the update flows out everywhere instead of being retyped by hand, one site at a time.

03

Monitoring & reporting

Listings drift. Platforms accept public edits, aggregators re-import old data and duplicates reappear. We watch for changes, correct them, and post a monthly progress report to your account dashboard so you can see what was fixed, what is pending and what we are keeping an eye on.

Simple to start

How it works

1

Sign up & share your details

Check out online, then complete a short onboarding from your account: your correct business name, address, phone, hours, categories and services, plus access to any profiles you already manage.

2

We audit and fix

We review every place your business is listed, correct errors, merge or remove duplicates, and claim or build out the listings you are missing. You get a summary of what we found and what changed.

3

Ongoing sync + monthly report

Each month we keep your data in sync, watch for drift and post a progress report to your account dashboard. Need a break? You can pause or resume the service from your account at any time.

FAQ

Questions we get a lot

What is Local Listings Optimization?

It is the ongoing work of making sure your business information is correct, complete and consistent everywhere it appears online: maps, search platforms, business directories, industry and local directories, review sites and the data providers that feed them. We audit what is out there, fix what is wrong, distribute the correct data and keep watching it. It is one piece of a broader local SEO strategy, not a shortcut around it.

Which directories do you manage?

The core set is Google Business Profile, Apple Maps and Bing Places, plus the major review sites and the local and industry directories that are relevant to your business and market. A restaurant, a law office and a plumbing company do not need the same list, so we tailor it during onboarding. We are an independent Brooklyn agency and are not affiliated with any of these platforms.

Do I need a Google Business Profile first?

It helps, but it is not required to get started. If you already have one, we will ask for manager access during onboarding so we can correct it alongside everything else. If you do not, we will help you claim or create it as part of the initial cleanup. For local businesses it is an important part of the overall footprint, and our Google Business Profile checklist is a good primer on what a complete profile looks like.

How long until listings are updated?

Honestly, it varies by platform. Some listings accept corrections within days. Others are reviewed by hand, wait on a verification step or only refresh on their own schedule, and those can take weeks. We cannot control third-party timelines, so we do not promise a date. What we do is submit everything promptly, follow up where a platform allows it, and show you the status of each listing in your monthly report.

Can I pause the service?

Yes. There is no long-term contract. You can pause, resume or cancel from your account at any time. Keep in mind that listings tend to drift when nobody is watching them, so if you pause for a while we recommend a fresh review when you come back.

What's in the monthly report?

A plain-English summary posted to your account dashboard: which listings were reviewed, what was corrected or removed, which submissions are still pending on the platform side, any new duplicates or public edits we caught, and anything we need from you. If we notice something outside the scope of listings, such as a review trend worth addressing or a website detail that conflicts with your listings, we flag it there too.
